360° Surveying has been heavily involved in the two recent developments at the Memorial Drive Tennis Centre. The first development involved reconstructing the synthetic grass and clay courts, as well as building a new sunken court as a secondary show court to compliment the main arena. The second development was to construct and install a new roof, lighting and court re-surfacing of the main show court arena.
For the first development, our team was contracted by the principal contractor to establish the site, to perform set-out and as-builts. As part of the second development, our team worked for the principal contractor, as well as providing services to all other contractors. During which, 360° Surveying was involved in setting out footings, hold-down bolts, light aiming points, as well as the workshop construction of the structural steel roof and site installation.
This main challenge of the project was work with the 3D design to assist with the fabrication of the curved roof structure in the workshop environment.
